About Us
We are the official student automotive team of SRM Institute of Science and Technology. Scholars from different branches of engineering came together
in 2014 to fabricate a fully functioning Solar car. Our dedication and hunger to create and innovate more has madeus to go through the best ideas ever.
We aim at manugfcturing a highly coherent, efficient and sustainable racing vehicles. It formally operates under Mechanical Department of SRMIST but as it has been rightly said- success has no bounds, and so does our team ETROS SOLAREON RACING (ESR). We have three domains namely, Mechanical, Electrical & Electronics, and Coding & Corporate-Multimedia. Our team builds Solar electric vehicle which primarily battery run and also charges its battery through solar energy. Performance of the car is based on how fast the battery dishcharges.
We are operating on improving the endurance of the vehicle which will help it run a long distance without the need of recharging the battery. We strive to elevate the society towards a more greener and more efficient surrounding. We believe that energy is future so we taken concern to make it bright. We as a team are thriving to lead this virtuous revamping.
Over the past few years we have participated in national level solar championships like ESVC, NSVC, IASC and SUVC. As a team, we have worked hard in taking the esteemed name of our college, SRM, to even higher and new grounds and have managed to build a great reputation in the competitions organized in and around the campus.
